E-Bike Nation is New Zealand's dedicated e-bike motor service centre. Whether you're a rider without a local specialist or a bike shop that doesn't have in-house e-bike expertise, we service and repair Bosch, Bafang, Brose, Shimano, and Yamaha motors — sent to us from anywhere in the country.

Why send your motor to us

  • Genuine motor-brand expertise. Most general bike shops can true a wheel or fit brakes — very few have the diagnostic tools and training for e-bike motor electronics. We specialize in nothing else.
  • You don't need to send the whole bike. In most cases, just the motor unit needs to travel — lighter, cheaper, and safer to courier than a full e-bike.
  • Turnaround in around 10 working days. Need it back sooner? Express turnaround is available for an extra charge — just let us know when you get in touch.

How it works

  1. Get in touch first. Email team@ebikenation.co.nz or call 0800 888 633 with your motor brand/model and the issue you're experiencing. We'll let you know if it's something we can quote sight-unseen or if we need to see it first.
  2. Pack it well. Wrap the motor securely so it can't shift or knock around in transit. Include a note with your name, phone number, and a brief description of the issue, so we know whose motor has arrived and what you need done.

  4. We assess and quote. If we find anything beyond the standard overhaul — worn gears, faulty sensors, or similar — we'll always discuss it with you and get your approval before doing any extra work or charging beyond the base price.
  5. We repair and return. Once approved and completed, we courier it back to you anywhere in NZ.

The overhaul price covers the standard strip-clean-rebuild service. Anything extra we find — worn gears, faulty sensors, etc. — is always discussed and approved with you first.
